 Nuna is looking for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to teach a variety of classes and workshops, and instruct students in the field. Candidates will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and following lesson plans related to the topics of ceramics. Candidates must be able to teach all varieties of ceramic techniques, including throwing, basic handbuilding and a variety of decorative techniques, including glazing. This individual must have strong classroom management skills and be comfortable designing and executing curriculums. The right candidate will enjoy the challenge of sharing their expertise with students, have the ability to work effectively with a wide range of personalities and ages, and be dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others. 

Responsibilities:

• Teach group classes in studio or classroom environment
• Teach students of different skill levels and abilities
• Teach proper glaze application techniques
• Develop age and skill level appropriate lessons plans
• Identify common beginner mistakes in student work, then communicate solutions
• Update class attendance sheets every day classes meet
• Maintain a clean classroom environment and organize students to properly and efficiently clean after themselves and after each class session
• Load and unload kiln

Qualifications:

• Degree in art or relative experience working in ceramics
